Our Exotic Adverbs and Verbs!

For the past week in Te Ngahere our class and I have been learning about adverbs and verbs. We are doing this to identify the mood in the stories. In the three stories we had to find all the verbs and adverbs and make a doc then write it down. When we finished the three stories we had to do another three different stories, I found it harder because there were some words that I don't know or understand, the easiest part was to finish the first three stories because the second and third were harder than the first one.

Do you know adverbs and verbs?

Here is the slide to the Adverbs and verbs

Our Fantastic Cricket

On Wednesday we did some cricket with Neal our coach. At the start we needed to buddy up with someone and start hitting the ball. My buddy was Shay and we had to choose who will catch the ball and who will hit the ball. We chatted and I was the one who was in the field catching the ball while Shay hits the tennis ball to me. We also had to switch places so we can take turns. Also Neil our coach said to our teacher Whaea Shanna we were the best cricketers in the North Island.

The hardest part was that the bowler  Neil our coach was throwing the ball too fast so I went running and hit the ball real high and was close to getting out.

The easiest part was to catch the ball when people hit it high.

Have you ever played cricket before?

Our Awesome Athletics Training

This term we will be doing Athletics day in 5 weeks or 6. I had to go in a group with year 5, 6 and some year 8s. The sport we are doing are high jump which is my favourite subject.

I went first for the jump and landed a perfect scissor jump, the rest couldn't do it because they are scared or they might hurt themselves with the pole, except Cahlay a year 6 because he did a perfect scissors jump landing like me.

The hardest part to do on high jump is when the teachers raise the pole higher because it will be much harder to jump. The easiest part was jumping the pole when it was much lower than 1.15 meters high.

Have you been doing Athletics?

Below is where you will know how it works.

My Exciting Camp

Last week in the holidays I went camping in a place called Bland Bay. When we arrived there were no people camping except us. After we arrived my sister and I went exploring. My mum, dad, sister and I were setting the campsite up which took us a few hours. My sister and I went to the beach and saw a tree with a swing that was tied up top of the tree.

There were two people that were playing on the swing and their names were Nathan and Emily. They were kind enough to let me try the swing, I went climbing on the tree grabbed the swing and jumped off which was so much fun!. After that we went back to our campsite and had some dinner and went to sleep.

Have you ever been camping alone with your family?
