Wick Wack Wednesday!

Today in Paihia School our teachers wanted to make make our last term fun and exciting so the teachers decided to have up a “Wacky Wednesday” in term 4. Wacky Wednesday is a day that people dress as anything wacky you can think of like if your a boy you could were a girl uniform or a princess dress because the definition of whacky is weird. There were bunch of costumes to princess, to heroes, to unicorns, to fairies and so much more. When the first bus came to the gates outside school which includes me the vibe inside the school was radiated with excitement because everybody wore different costumes that looked funny and wacky. I personally think that my classmate/friend named Hudson, nicknamed Rahudzel, is the best wacky costume because he wore a Rapunzel dress that fit him well perfectly with his short blonde hair because in the movie, R
apunzel cutted her hair at the end of the movie to save her love one which fits perfectly with him

.

Do you agree that my classmate friend has the best Wacky outfit in Wacky Wednesday?

Fire Nadotastic

Te Ngahere recently went to the Bay Of Islands College for a Science Roadshow. We went there to have some ideas from the scientists and learn more about science because we didn't know that much about it. We learnt tons about carbon dioxide, hydrogen and oxygen. An example is: We breathe 78% hydrogen, 21% percent oxygen and the other one percent is other gases like carbon dioxide, agron and neon. We also looked at some stands. My favourite stand was the honey stand because you could eat the honey and figure out what it tastes like. We then had another show where they made a fire tornado with a metal rubbish bin that's transparent.

Have you ever seen a fire tornado before? I know I have.

My post about ‘My Unique Scientific Infographic Method.’

Hi Bloggers, this week in Te Ngahere we have been working on a Science project called the Scientific Method. We had to make an infographic about the Scientific Method. I had to copy the scientific method but I had to write it on my own words. The scientific methods are a: question, research, make a guess/hypothesis, test and experiment, examine and test your hypothesis, modify your hypothesis if you need to, present a conclusion and retest if you needed to.

What was easy was getting a picture of my Scientific Method in a google drawing.

What was hard was always putting pointed arrows beside the next step on the Scientific Method.

Have you ever made an Infographic before?

Tomioka Giyu Demon Slayer! HASHIRA!

Hi there and this term we have been learning to create a mosaic art. Mosaic art is about placing shapes in all size to make a photo but it has to be appropriate. We used the polyline to outline whatever we chose to make. Next we colored each shape to match the image. I chose to do Tomioka Giyu from Demon Slayer, an anime series.

The part that was easy was picking the image. What was hard is polylining the shapes on the image because it takes too long to finish.

Have you ever watch the anime Demon Slayers?

Technology

Hi there my name is Mark and this week in Te Ngahere the year 7 and 8’s went to technology. I really enjoyed technology because we are making a waka and it  is so much fun. I think that my waka is coming together well and it probably will pass the teacher’s waka named Mr.E. I think that technology is really fun because we get to play and build things with timber.

Have you built a waka before?

Smart Smurfing Relationships

In Te Ngahere We are learning about how to be smart in our online relationships and to seek help when we need it. We watched a video about how to be safe in cybersmart by watching a video about a girl that's ten years old, sharing her personal information to an old guy named Simon pretending to be a 13 year old boy and at the end the girl finally notice it was wrong and pressed report abuse and put Simon in jail. After that we needed to copy a Google slide and write what the girl did wrong and why it’s wrong. It took awhile to finish but we manage to finish with our strong group’s brain power

Here is the link to our slide if you want to see more of the story about the girl:

Have you ever talked to a stranger in an online game? Because I know you did so did I.

I'M A KIWI!

Hi!, my name is Mark and this week I have gotten my New Zealand Citizenship award. It all started on Wednesday when my family and I went to Kaitaia to get me and my Mum a New Zealand Citizenship award. We arrived in Kaitaia, excited to get my NZ citizenship award, we decided to have a break and lunch in a Cafe, after I had finished eating we had to sit down on the chair because the ceremony on where I'm gonna get my citizenship was starting.

It took awhile until our turn so we waited and it finally was our turn, I was very nervous standing there looking at people thats looking at me I thought I was gonna get stage fright but when I was about to get stage fright it was over. The Mayor shaked my hand so did the 4 council and I had gotten a badge of Kiwi. when the ceremony was over we went home to celebrate by having KFC Wicked Wings.

Have you ever gotten a NZ Citizenship badge before?
