Making Hummus
On Wednesday our class went to the Whare Kai. We were learning to eat healthier. We went there to make hummus with Whaea Gina. First Whaea Gina had to pick some people like Franky and Kaitlin. Kaitlin cut the Carrots and Franky had to put a bit of pepper, a tiny bit of garlic, peanut butter, chickpeas, salt and lemon to make hummus. Then Franky put all the ingredients in a blender. We had to wait a couple of minutes until it was finished. It was so yummy I could’ve ate more. The most hard part for Kaitlin was cutting the carrots because when your not careful then you might end up cutting yourself. This was really fun because I never made hummus before.

Oral Hyigene
On Wednesday there was a visitor which was a dentist and she was here to help us make our teeth super clean. So she told us the best way to brush our teeth. At the moment for our age it is to move your toothbrush in a circle motion, you have to do this on the front of your teeth, then the tops, then the back. This will take 2 minutes to brush and make them clean. Then she showed us people’s teeth that didn’t brush their teeth for 5 days or 4 it was like special paint but it showed up the plaque on their teeth.
I learnt that brushing your teeth is important because if you don’t then your teeth will rot.

Energize
Today we went to the whare for energize. We had learnt to not drink too much fizzy drink because when you drink fizzy drink it will enter your stomach and make it fat. That’s why we will drink safety stuff like water and milk. Sometimes we can drink fizzy drink occasionally (Which is like once a week) just don’t forget to not drink fizzy drinks like, V mother, Coca cola and Red bull because it’s bad when you drink it everyday.
